Progress Report is heading to the Chrome Web Store. Until the listing is live, you can install it directly — it takes about a minute.

Chrome, Edge, Brave (manual install)

Download the extension: lamplighter-extension.zip — unzip it somewhere it can stay.
Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right).
Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
Go to any course in your Canvas, click the 🏮 lantern in the toolbar, and allow it on your school's Canvas domain when asked.

A Student Overview item appears in the course navigation. That's it — your 30-day trial starts the first time you open a report.

Coming after the Chrome listing. If you want it sooner, say so — demand moves it up the list.

Only your own school's Canvas domain, and only after you click. It requests nothing at install time and cannot see any other site.
